The Islamic Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture

The Islamic Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture is an affiliated organ of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and represents the private sector of 57 member countries. It aims at strengthening closer collaboration in the field of trade, commerce, information technology, insurance/reinsurance, shipping, banking, promotion of investment opportunities and joint ventures in the member countries. Its membership is comprised of the National Chambers/Unions/Federations of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the member countries.

Islamic Development Bank

The Islamic Development Bank is an international financial institution established in pursuance of the Declaration of Intent issued by the Conference of Finance Ministers of Muslim Countries held in Jeddah in Dhul Q’adah 1393H, corresponding to December 1973. The Inaugural Meeting of the Board of Governors took place in Rajab 1395H, corresponding to July 1975, and the Bank was formally opened on 15 Shawwal 1395H corresponding to 20 October 1975.

International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation

The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) is advancing trade to improve the economic situation and livelihoods of people across the Islamic world. As an autonomous entity within the Islamic Development Bank Group, the ITFC was formed to consolidate the trade finance business that was formerly undertaken by various windows within the IDB Group. The consolidation of the bank’s trade finance activities under a single umbrella increases the efficiency of service delivery by enabling rapid response to customer needs in a market-driven business environment.

Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector

The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) is a multilateral organization affiliated with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group. It is authorized capital stands at $2.0 billion, of which $1.0 billion is available for subscription. The current subscribed and paid-in capital is $875 million and $568 million respectively. Its shareholders consist of the IDB, 51 member countries, and five public financial institutions. Headquarters in Jeddah, ICD was established by the IDB Board of Governors during its 24th annual meeting held in Jeddah in Rajab 1420H (November 1999).

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) is the highest legal entity in Turkey representing the private sector. Similar to the patterns of guilds and syndicates, which traditionally organized and represented tradesmen and producers throughout the Turkish History, TOBB, too, adopted a representative role in a democratic and modern society. Today, TOBB has 365 members in the form of local chambers of commerce, industry, commerce and industry, maritime commerce and commodity exchanges.

Helal Derneği, helal ürünlerin temininin kolaylaştırılması, bu konularda usul geliştirilmesi ve standartların belirlenmesi konularında çalışma yapmak ve mevcut çabalara katkıda bulunmak amacı ile Konya merkezli olarak kurulmuştur. Böyle bir kurumu kurma ve bu girişimde bulunmamızın temel nedeni inancımızdan doğan önemli ihtiyaçtır. Bu ihtiyaca kendi çapımızda cevap verebilmek, yapılan ve henüz gelişme aşamasında olan çalışmalara destek verebilmek amacı ile bu derneği kurmuş bulunuyoruz.

World Islamic Economic Forum

The World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) Foundation, formally established on 6th March 2006, institutionalised the World Islamic Economic Forum. Being the proprietary owner of the Forum, the Foundation administers and organises the annual WIEF, as well as ensuring the smooth running of the initiatives and programmes under its purview. The WIEF Foundation has its own corporate administrative structure, which includes the Board of Trustees led by the Chairman of the Foundation, and supported by the International Advisory Panel and the Permanent Secretariat based in Kuala Lumpur.

Ghana Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Ghana Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GICCI) was established by a resolution of a one day Muslim Summit on the theme: Repositioning the Muslim Ummah in Ghana for the Challenges of the 21st Century held in Tamale on the 3rd of October, 2009 under the auspices of Al Furqan Foundation. It was registered 21st November, 2009, under the Companies Code 1963, Act 179, as a not for profit organisation.
